“World women’s championship” of Japanese major tournament was held from May 5 until May 8, at Ibaraki Golf Club.
Lexi Thompson of the Rolex ranking # 3 is also an entry in this tournament. She is round 65 of the course record on the 3rd day, her score was -13.
The last day, Thompson played a score of 72, won in 2 strokes at the 2nd-position. This was the season 2nd win following “Honda LPGA Thailand” in February.
Thompson came to 2 days ago of tournament in Japan, and returned home by airplane for 4 hours after the end of the match.
Ayaka Watanabe was 2nd-position of the tournament, and 3rd place was Ha-Neul Kim. Mika Miyazato, that was the entry from US LPGA, is 22 place.
