Ikioi is top division wrestler and 29 year old. he was born in Osaka and became the Sumo wrestler in Isenoumi stable on 2005. Then, he gave a steady performance, became “Sekiwake” that mean “junior champion” in the tournament of Summer 2016. It was his best position and he got a 4 time the Fighting spirit prize. Ikioi is the unusual Sumo wrestler’s stage name, this is a traditional name that follows from the Edo period. By the way, Ikioi means Momentum.
In same day, there was the match of Harumafuji vs Yoshikaze. Yoshikaze won Harumafuji in “Hatakikomi”, so he was 7 wins and 2 losses. Hakuho losed to Okinoumi on the 3rd day, was also 7 wins and 2 losses. Yoshikaze won 5th time to Yokozuna.
Yoshikaze is top division wrestler and 34 year old. he was born in Oita and became the Sumo wrestler in Oguruma stable on 2004. He became “Sekiwake” in the tournament at Osaka 2016, it was his best position. He got a 4 time the Fighting spirit prize, 1st time Outstanding performance prize, and 2 time Technique prize.
