Nissan Motors buy the 34 percent stock of Mitsubishi Motors in the 200 billion yen, and announce that it become the largest shareholder, May 12.
The two companies is a shareholder of J.League team. Nissan has 73% stock of the Yokohama F.Marinos, and Mitsubishi Moters has 50.63% stock of the Urawa Red Diamonds.
But the provisions of the J.League, do not allow to become a shareholder of more than one team regardless of direct or indirect. so Mitsubishi Motors is expected to sell the stock of Urawa Red Diamonds.
Urawa Reds in sales of about 60 billion yen per year, because of the surplus management, are expected to sell at a high price.
By the way, other Japanese automobile companies, Toyota has 50.1% stock of the Nagoya Grampus, Mazda has 16.67% stock of the Sanfrecce Hiroshima F.C.
